We are a UK charity supporting children with learning disabilities, some with life-limiting medical or severe developmental conditions. We inspire the ambitions of children and young people by delivering enjoyable methods of learning and play.
We focus on their abilities and identify opportunities, growing and developing skills through the delivery of events, dreams and workshops, including puppet making/theatre workshops and enterprise events such as jewellery production.
We are proud to fund and support volunteer led groups throughout South Wales and the West including The Butterfly Hut (Bristol), Tech Club (Newport and Bridgend) and Valley Daffodils (Ystrad Mynach) amongst many others.
We inspire children to see beyond immediate challenges, encourage them to follow their dreams and believe in themselves.
In 2016 we opened our first Charity Shop and Tea Room Curiositeas at Rosie’s in Church Village, offering nearly new donated clothing, books, CDs and lots more. Our Tea Room sells hot and cold drinks, freshly made sandwiches and homemade cakes amongst other specialities to eat in or take out. This has provided much needed volunteering and training opportunities for young people with learning disabilities.
We are delighted to be a part of this innovative idea. Any of our supporters who are thinking of switching their energy supplier to save money can now support Follow Your Dreams Charity at the same time and help us to make more dreams come true for children with learning disabilities.- Diane Blackmore, Chief Executive Officer
